So who said that they didn’t like Leeteuk for his personality?
That he’s big headed, selfish and egocentric?
This man, right here, is probably one of the most amazing leaders I have ever known. No, he’s not the leader of a country, nor has he ever made a huge impact on the world. He’s the leader of Super Junior, a group of singers from a small country in Asia.
But he’s also a trustworthy confidant to those around him. A brother, a son, a friend.
He’s a man of many tears, of many burdens, and he’s willing to endure everything he can for those he leads. The leader that you see today is probably someone you would have never expected to become if you knew him fifteen years ago. Growing up he felt distraught and alone. He had a dream to become successful, but didn’t even know if such a dream was achievable.
This man takes care of not only the other members of his group, but also every single fan he has. No, he’s not the leader of a country. But he leads us. He loves us. The love he has for his boys and his girls can reach the span of the entire universe.
This man might not be the most powerful leader, but he still remains the most amazing. Because he has the heart, the strength, and the humbleness. This man used the money out of his own pocket to buy ice cream for each and every fan standing outside of the SBS recording studio in the hot summer air. This man named our fandom, named us Ever Lasting Friends. This man tells us nearly every single day that he loves us, be it at a concert or even just a small heart when he tweets a little something. He may have not impacted the world, but he has impacted us - Super Junior and ELF alike.
This man leads us. Takes care of us. Loves us. Even when he’s tired. Even when he’s sick. Even when he’s hurting. He just takes the blow and keeps going. For all of us.
